The Louisiana Library Association's Disaster Relief Fund was created in response to the needs of libraries after the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The purpose of the Disaster Relief Fund is to make funds available to help Louisiana libraries recover from damages due to recent disasters. All libraries in the state that are affected by a disaster are invited to apply for funds.
