Shivering Spines: A Murder Mystery
Love a good mystery? Always dreamed of being a detective? Want to put your killer librarian skills to the test? A body has been found at the Raymond Chandler Memorial Library, and it is your job to help Chief of Police Christie and Officer Doyle find the murderer. After you solve the case, you will have a clue about creating a mystery of your own.

A Rich Gumbo - A Holy Trinity: Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in Your Library
The program will consist of four speakers: Dr. Taniecea Mallery from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Office for Campus Diversity, Dr. Carol Landry from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Office of Disability Services, Ms. Erika Witt from Southern University of New Orleans, and Mr. Zachary Stein from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Dr. Mallery will present on diversity and inclusion, Dr. Landry will speak about nondiscrimination and equal access, and Ms. Witt will present on the utilization of traditional African art artifacts in library instruction and tours. Finally, Mr. Stein will present on Acadian Jewish experience and the preservation of that experience through archives. Attendees will learn how to incorporate diversity and inclusion in their day to day library work.

All registration cancellations and refund requests for the 2020 Louisiana Library Association Annual Conference, including preconferences and meal events, must be made in writing to lla@amigos.org by Friday, February 28, 2020. No telephone cancellations/refund requests can be accepted. After February 28, 2020, no requests for refunds will be accepted and no exceptions will be made to the policy. Registrations made after Friday, February 28, 2020 are nonrefundable.
